Students from abroad who hold an official diploma from an accredited institution must have their transcripts evaluated at WES. World Education Services (WES) and then send the transcripts straight to Pace University.

Pace University: Facts and Stats

Pace University was established in 1906 by Charles Ashford Pace and Homer St. Clair Pace. They were both CPAs and pioneers in the field.

They were able to get a $600 loan together and establish Pace and Pace. Their first class consisted of 13 students and was held in a rented classroom on one of the floors in the New York Tribune Building. Today, the One Pace Plaza complex stands proudly in this location.

The school was relocated to Lower Manhattan and renamed Pace Institute.

Pace Institute grew across the country, offering business law and accountancy courses in different US cities.

It offered accounting and business law courses on several YMCA campuses throughout New York and New Jersey. These courses were also offered in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Seattle, and Grand Rapids.

Two years apart, the brothers died in the early 1940s. Robert S. Pace was the son of Homer St. Clair Pace. In 1947, Pace Institute was granted college status by the New York State Board of Regents. The school was soon known as Pace College.

The New York Tribune Building was torn down in 1966 to make way for One Pace Plaza. The petition of Pace College to be granted university status by the New York State Board of Regents was approved in 1973.
